2023 NARI Tour of Remodeled Homes

Owner Chad Speight and Chads Design Build team members welcomed visitors, prior clients, and potential clients at both homesites on the tour. It was a beautiful spring day to showcase our work and share our projects!

Thank you to all who visited us at both homesites on the 2023 NARI Tour of Remodeled Homes. It was a great opportunity to showcase our work and to share our Design-Build process from Consultation to Construction:

1) Consultation

We want you to feel comfortable throughout our relationship. Initially, we will discuss your project scope and investment expectations over the telephone. If we are a good fit for each other, we will meet you at your home to continue the discussion and review the project that you are considering. At this point, we will present you with a Project Development Agreement (PDA). We may also agree to meet at our Design Studio before signing the PDA.

2) Concept Development

Once the PDA is signed, we will schedule a meeting at your home with our development team. We will discuss how you live in your home, assess the existing layout, and analyze how we might translate your needs/wants into design concepts. At additional meetings, these concepts are presented to you along with preliminary cost estimates to remodel your home.

3) Finalize Scope and Selections

Upon agreement to move to the Selections Phase, our team synthesizes the ideas presented in the Concept Phase while working with you to identify the scope of the project and product selections. As these details are clarified, a more refined design and cost estimate are presented to you. Once you are comfortable with the developed project, we will present you with a Commitment to Remodel Contract.

4) Commitment to Remodel

The signed Commitment to Remodel Contract with deposit allows us to agree on a start date for your project. This deposit is non-refundable. Once the Commitment to Remodel Contract is signed, we finalize construction details (along with any remaining engineering or zoning permissions) so that building permits can be acquired.

5) Finalize plans, Contract and Initiate Construction

Once all details have been finalized, we present a final, fixed-price proposal which includes an associated payment schedule, production schedule, plans and specifications. We use CoConstruct project management software to communicate with you and record all agreements, selections, updates, and any changes you finalize. As the start date approaches, we will meet with you to discuss logistics and to prepare you for the project. Construction will commence as scheduled when selected items and supplies are received. CoConstruct will track the progress of your project. Our NARI certified team is dedicated to transforming your house into the home of your dreams.
