The first phase of the remodel of this basement in a 1920s home in Madison focused on extensive mechanical improvements that allowed for additional headroom. Once those improvements were made, we transformed the formerly damp and dark basement into a fun and functional recreation space that is comfortable and bright. The homeowners now get lots of use from their basement while watching movies, making music, and playing games together.

The laundry room was also transformed into a functional and comfortable space that is well-lit, clean, and dry. The green paint gives a sense of fun while the updated utility sink area provides additional convenience.
