Modern Bathroom with Walk-in Shower

This bathroom renovation in a home on Madison's west side was part of a complete kitchen and bath remodel.

The design elements were inspired by the homeowner's love for Lake Michigan.

In the primary bathroom, we removed the original tub and replaced it with a custom walk-in shower. The shower is hassle-free and easy to clean with no door or curtain.

We installed large format tiles on the shower walls, and a pebble mosaic accent band. This brings in both the texture and color of smooth stone, as if it were made from rocks on the shores of the lake.

A new maple vanity and bathroom fixtures complete the space with a warmth and consistency that ties everything together. The lake inspiration carried into a second bathroom as well, where we painted the vanity a vivid blue that brings the color of the water directly into the room.
