A full guest bathroom remodel

This bathroom remodel is part of a basement renovation in a Madison, WI home. The space is used by the homeowners as a rec room, and a guest bedroom and bathroom for their grandkids.

We built out a private full bath just off the new rec room, complete with a soaking tub and shower rather than a stand-alone shower stall. The vanity features a solid surface countertop and integral sink in a soft grey tone, paired with a full-height storage cabinet for towels and toiletries, and the shower surround continues that same grey finish for a clean, cohesive look. Recessed lighting and a heated exhaust fan round out the space, keeping it warm and well-lit for kids getting ready for bed.

For the flooring, our clients wanted something durable enough to handle water, easy to clean, and safe for the kids, so they chose an epoxy flake system with added texture for traction. That same epoxy floor carries seamlessly from the rec room right into the bathroom, tying the whole space together while giving the grandkids a floor that can keep up with bath time and playtime alike.

The homeowners worked closely with our design team to choose every detail, including the built-in cabinetry, the hardware finishes and the lighting fixtures.
