A Colorful Kitchen Remodel in Madison
These homeowners wanted a full kitchen gut and remodel in their Madison home, transforming their kitchen with a layout that feels far more intentional and organized.
We removed the existing flooring and finishes, carefully saved and reinstalled select trim details, and rebuilt the kitchen with a new U-shaped perimeter and peninsula design that makes much better use of the space.
From the beginning, storage was a clear priority. There is a lot of storage hidden in this kitchen. We love how thoughtfully it’s integrated throughout the room.
Many of the cabinets look simple and streamlined from the outside, but open them up and you’ll find deep drawers, pull-outs, corner solutions, and specialty inserts that hold far more than you’d expect. It’s the kind of storage that makes daily life easier without visually overwhelming the space.
The bar and beverage area adds another layer of personality and function. Pocket-style cabinet doors open to reveal finished interiors and storage, perfect for stemware storage. This makes entertaining easy and enjoyable for the homeowners.
And of course, we have to talk about the color. We love the bold statement our clients made with their pink upper cabinetry paired with deep blue base cabinets. Balanced with light countertops and neutral flooring, the palette feels confident, fresh, and completely personal to this home.
After working with these homeowners over many years and several projects, we know how important their furry companions are to them too! We integrated a custom cabinet and kitty door to hold (and hide) kitty litter - keeping the space functional for their cat without drawing attention to it. The cat can also move in and out of the kitchen through a second kitty door. That way, the homeowners can keep the door closed for their pup during the day.
This remodel is a great example of how thoughtful planning and creative choices can come together to create a kitchen that’s filled with personality and highly functional, making every day life a whole lot easier.
