This screen porch addition in Madison created a spacious and inviting retreat from the mosquitoes, while being almost entirely detached from the primary home. The client wanted a porch with a cathedral ceiling and exposed beams, but the windows on the second floor of the home were making the design of the porch roofline difficult. We solved the issue by designing a breezeway that connects the home to the porch and allows the porch roofline to be separate from the house. The breezeway includes back entry stairs and provides an efficient path from the driveway to the back door of the house.
