These homeowners wanted an outdoor space shielded from weather and mosquitos, while improving the back entry to their home. The original back door led straight to the yard and did not have a deck or covered patio. This led to constant dirt and debris entering the home and nowhere to put shoes or packages.

We added a covered porch and a spacious deck that connects to the back door through a breezeway. The addition of galvanized corrugated metal offers protection from the elements while adding visual texture. The car siding ceiling repeats the deck's board pattern and provides contrast to the exposed rafter framing while elevating the overall design.
