Eton Ridge
This whole-house remodel in Madison provided the homeowners with an updated kitchen, dining room, living room, library, entryway, and powder room. Warm wood tones are used in the cabinetry and accents throughout the main floor to provide visual continuity and a sense of comfort.
The kitchen in this 1920s home was remodeled with a new layout that not only gave the homeowners increased functionality but also allowed others to access necessary areas of the kitchen, like the coffee bar, microwave, and refrigerator, without interfering with the chef’s prep space. Wildflower tiles throughout the kitchen provide the homeowners with a sense of spring all year round.
At the entrance to the home, the front door was moved to create a mudroom where the homeowners can hang coats and take off their shoes as they enter.
In the dining and front room, a peninsula cabinet was added with one side for dining storage and the other side for books. In line with the style of the home, a Tudor arch was added to create a visual separation between the library and the dining room.
The half bathroom on the main floor was updated with a modern sink and dual-flush toilet, along with tiles that continue the visual theme of wildflowers from the kitchen.
Besides renovations on the main floor, this remodel also included a basement remodel and a new screen porch.
