Mt Horeb
This 100-year-old farmhouse in Mt. Horeb lacked a primary bathroom on the second floor. With a growing family, the homeowners asked us to turn the second story outdoor brick balcony, off their primary bedroom, into their bathroom. We created an award-winning bathroom that incorporated the room’s original brick, a zero-clearance walk-in shower, multiple natural light sources, white herringbone tiles, and contemporary style finishes that maintain a farmhouse feel. The bathroom portion of this project won the 2019 NARI National Contractor of the Year award for a residential bath $75,000 to $100,000.
In addition to the bathroom addition, we also remodeled the kitchen and updated the pantry to include a built-in sliding ladder. The mudroom and entryway were remodeled, and we added vintage-style wallpaper to the office. The front porch was also restored. Like many of our projects, these renovations occurred in phases over a ten-year period.
